No Humidifier? Here Are 6 Ways That Will Add Moisture To The Air

Last Updated on May 27, 2019

Since the air is dry anyway, jump into your kitchen and make a healthy, delicious soup for your entire family, which means you should simmer a big pot on the stovetop for hours in order to take good advantage of it. And again, your entire house will smell like a delicious soup, giving it a cozy vibe!

You will be surprised at how many things that can do the same job as the humidifier and they don’t even cost a dime. Just a vase or a bowl, fill it with water and that would be it. Make sure you leave it where the sun can touch it in order to evaporate it.

For better results, you can use a radiator. Using an over-safe bowl that’s filled with water will have much better effects in your house. In no time, you will feel like the dryness is completely gone and everything is back to its proper state.

Houseplants

If you know the benefits of houseplants, your house and all your environments will never be the same anymore without them. They do so much for us that we can’t even understand, like the plants that would suck in any toxic element from the air, burn itself, and help you have cleaner air.

Anyway, the majority of plants would do transpiration, which is a process of moisture evaporating from the stems and leaves, letting it go to the air. Your home will be healthier when you “adopt” houseplants in your living areas. Make sure to add a few in your office, too!

A stove steamer

There is a chance you already have a wood burning stove in your home. If you do, just add a cast iron steamer in order to add the moisture to the air.

Just check your local farm supply store because you may find them offering a few, or you can just purchase it online, which I believe is the best option since you will find decorative ones that will enhance the appearance of your home.

Anyway, what you need to do is fill the cast iron streamer with as much water as it can handle, then place it on the stove. Soon, the air will be moisturized as it starts steaming!
