The reason why cooking spray is so effective in removing soap scum is the fact that the oil it contains has the ability to break down any kind of lime deposits, which means that all that soap scum will be removed immediately after you spray the spot that has them. All you need to do is to spray the spot and wipe it with a clean cloth!
