Here Are the 7 House Chores You Only Need To Do Once A year!

Last Updated on April 9, 2021

But, if you’re already very careful with your furniture and it rarely gets stained, you have the option of only deep-cleaning it once a year. If you haven’t yet this year, get a microfiber cloth, soak it in a mix of baking soda and water, and use it to clean the fabric furniture. You can also apply the mix to a toothbrush and brush the stained furniture gently. It will last you a year, if you’re careful enough!

6.Cleaning linen closets

Do you even clean your linen closet, if you have one? It might not look like a house chore that is as neccessary as, let’s say, laundry, but it really is. Because if you don’t clean your linen closet, it will become home to spider webs and dust mites. At the very least, clean it up once a year by wiping down its doors, shelves, organizing your clothes, and vacuuming the floor. You also have the option of cleaning your closet by season. For example, this winter, deep clean it and wait till the end of the coming spring to clean it up again. Leaving your clothes next to dust and spiders isn’t hygienic at all!

7.Re-organizing kitchen cabinets

Kitchen cabinets can also be home to spider webs, dust, and even grease and oil. So, you could at least clean them up and re-organize them once a year. There is also no harm in cleaning them every season, by wiping down the shelves and hinges, getting rid of any lurking insects, emptying the cabinets completely and re-organizing the kitchen items for a change of view! Get rid of any products that have already reached their expiration date and freshen the cabinets up by spraying essential oils (lavender oil or lemon oil) and get rid of bacteria at the same time. Have a happy, yearly cleaning-time! Tell us what house chore you’re starting with in the comments section.
