Many times, we forget to put on our white shirt on before putting on makeup, so we end up with foundation and lipstick stains. The way to get rid of it is not at all as you might expect, and it can be found in every household.
One piece of white bread can literally save the day by removing the makeup stains. Just roll it into a ball and pat the stain with it, try your best to avoid any smearing. However, you need to do this as soon as the stain appears to get the best result. Once you pat it all away, you can wash your shirt as you normally do.
Glass cleaner
If you have been doing any activity using markers, or you just have kids who enjoy doing a few artistic things, then you know that some of the white shirts will definitely have some marker stains that are hard to clean.
But, we said hard, and not impossible, because as long as you have glass cleaner at your home, you will not need to worry about that stain. First, put a napkin under the spot to protect the fabric from getting soaked and spray the glass cleaner onto the stain. Let it sit for five minutes, and then wash as usual.
Lemon
Even if we have been extremely careful with our white shirts, they have no yellow or dirty stain in it, we would still need to deal with the discoloration that happens naturally to any white fabric, especially if we haven’t been using them for a while.
The solution?
Go to your fridge and bring out some of your fresh lemons, cut them all into medium to small pieces, and then add them to water. Take all of your white shirts and leave them in that water for a few hours. You can also add one tsp of hydrogen peroxide for greater results.
Chalk
We may not care a lot about some of our white shirts, so we end up cooking with them, and you know that has an 80% chance it will not survive many stains and grease.
To remove them, you can ask your little kids for the chalk they use on their homework. Rub on all of your white shirts, like you are coloring them, and then wash them as you usually do.
Chalk is known to be a great absorbent, which means it will make the stains disappear easily. After one wash only, you will be granted with the cleanest white shirts, like you just bought them from a store.
Boric acid
Another way to deal with yellow sweat stains is by using boric acid. The latter is a chemical compound that may not be good to be touched by hands, but it is perfect when it comes to dealing with stains on white shirts.
Simply, apply it on the stains and wash it after 15-20 minutes, or just mix your favorite detergent with one tbsp of the boric acid, then put it in your washing machine in order to bleach your laundry. However, make sure to not use this method often with special products. Just use it once in every three washes.
