Last Updated on November 16, 2020

For most people, house cleaning is an absolute nightmare. It involves a series of time-consuming and tedious tasks that often have to be done at the weekend when we would prefer to be doing something else. But unless you are fortunate enough to afford a housekeeper, you will have to clean your house yourself every Week! The good news is that if you do things right, house cleaning won’t be as overwhelming as you may think. In this article, we will give you a few tips on how to clean your bedroom. It is important to know exactly what to do in each room of your house during your cleaning routine in order not to waste your precious time and energy. And the bedroom is probably one of the easiest areas to clean and, most importantly, to keep clean throughout the week. Here’s how to clean your bedroom fast and easily.

1. Get In The Mood

The mindset with which you start your cleaning routine is very important and probably the most crucial “cleaning hack” there is. This doesn’t necessarily have to be a painful task. You can have fun! Before grabbing your cleaning products, put on some music, play an episode of your favorite podcast, or listen to an audiobook. There are several great playlists to listen to while cleaning the house. Upbeat music will keep your energy and spirits up. Maybe you will end up dancing a little bit with the vacuum cleaner, who knows.

2. Clear All The Surfaces

Clearing all the surfaces in your bedroom is the first thing to do. If you are someone reasonably well-organized and tidy, this task should not take more than a minute. To declutter your bedroom, you need to put your clean clothes back in the wardrobe (make sure you fold them properly) and your dirty clothes in the washing machine. Collect all the visible litter such as paper tissues, payment receipts, food packages, or plastic bottles, and put it in the trash can. Once you have finished this task, your bedroom will already look much cleaner, and every other subsequent task will be much easier to perform. Additional Tip: to prevent your bedroom from becoming disorganized, you should try not to leave your clothes spread all over the room throughout the week. Seriously. It’s not that hard. Always put your dirty clothes in the laundry basket as soon as you take them off. This will prevent them from accumulating in every corner.

3. Make The Bed

Generally, the bed occupies a considerable part of the bedroom space (except if you are substantially wealthy, but in that case, you probably can hire someone to clean up your bedroom for you). Therefore, a made bed will make the bedroom look friendly and more inviting just by itself. Besides, it is extremely easy to do and not that time-consuming. Unless you have to change the bedsheets. If you do, it will probably take a couple more minutes than expected, so ask someone to help you out to make it faster. Additional Tip: if you hate making your bed every morning, you should use as few sheets as possible.
