Chair stains

Having kids or pets will always leave you with stained chairs, and actually, sometimes we (as grown-up adults) also end up causing a mess around the area where we sit, especially during meal (and wine) time.

The majority of chairs are now made with microfiber upholstery, which creates a challenge to clean. But just bring rubbing alcohol, spray it on the stain, and then wipe with a clean sponge. The alcohol is way effective than water as it evaporates quickly, and it will not leave a mark.

If you are worried the alcohol will fade your fabric, then create a solution of 2 parts hydrogen peroxide and one part dishwashing liquid. Rub it in, allow it to stand for a while, and then wash.

Deodorize the trash can

No matter how many times you take out the trash, even before the smell starts creeping out, your trashcan will always have that specific smell we all know… It increases in summer due to the heat.

Simply, get the baking soda and sprinkle it at the bottom of your trashcan; it will keep all odors at bay. If you use trash bags only, then put an old newspaper at the bottom of the bag to absorb all the smells.

It will also help to keep liquids from leaking outside the bag. Now you have more time to focus on other things rather than constantly worrying about the horrible smell your trash causes.

When it is time to clean your blinds, you know it is going to take the majority of your time just to take them out and put them back up –It is not one of our favorite tasks, really!

You can easily clean the dust from your blinds by mixing vinegar and water in one bowl, bring an old sock and wear it in your hand, dip into the mixture, and then clean the blinds by running your hands over them.

You can use the other dry sock to wipe the dampness away. Only in a few minutes, your blinds will be as good as new, especially that the vinegar can absorb odors.
