Let’s admit it, many of us think about doing the housework only when every spot around the house is messy, dirty, or even smelly.
But don’t worry, we have some amazing hacks that will make the cleaning process quicker and simpler than ever.
How to clean the filthiest things in the bathroom
– Bath curtain: make it look as good as new by using a solution of hydrogen peroxide and water in equal parts to rub all the dirty areas and eliminate mold and yellow stains.
– Toothbrushes: Let them soak in vinegar for about one hour, and then wash them sufficiently under running water. This will clean the toothbrushes and kill all the germs.
– Sponges: Soak them in a solution of hot water and vinegar in equal parts for one hour. Then wash them thoroughly with water and let dry.
How to make a bathtub as white as snow
Choose one of these 3 cleaning methods:
1) To get rid of limescale, yellow spots, and calcium stains easily, pour Hydrogen peroxide into a spray bottle and spray on the surface of the bathtub. Allow it to set for about half an hour and then wash off.
2) To effectively remove yellow stains, use a solution of citric acid. You’ll need 1 cup of water and 1 package of citric acid. Use a sponge to apply the mixture onto the surface of the bathtub, then wash it off after 20 minutes.
How to get rid of toilet-bowl limescale
1) To make a toilet bowl shine like new, use a mixture of citric acid and cornstarch in equal parts in addition to mustard powder.
2) Another great way to clean and freshen a toilet bowl is ‘cleaning bombs’. Simply throw 1 or 2 bombs into the toilet bowl.
To make cleaning bombs, you’ll need 1/4 cup of citric acid, 1/2 tsp of vinegar, 1 cup of baking soda, 1 tbsp of 6% hydrogen peroxide, and about 20 drops of your favorite essential oil. Mix the ingredients and make little balls using a spoon, then store them in a closed jar after they dry completely.
How to clean the areas between tiles
1) Use a white paraffin candle to easily remove lime deposits, dark stains, and mold from the narrow areas between tiles. Rub the dirty areas with the candle’s blunt end multiple times to clean and protect them against future dirt and mold.
2) You only need baking soda and an old toothbrush. Dip the wet toothbrush in baking soda and rub the dirty areas between tiles. Wash the surface with water after cleaning. The wall or floor are going to look cleaner than new!
How to refresh the washing machine
Washing machines need to be cleaned once every 3 months.
To remove the limescale and scum that build up on the washing machine, you can use citric acid. Simply pour 60 g of citric acid in the washing powder compartment and run the machine at the hottest temperature for a full cycle.
