This is How You Need to Clean the Bottom of Your Oven

Last Updated on November 12, 2019

Cleaning the inside of an oven can be done used some chemical products. This process is relatively easy; however, you need to be cautious when you decide to go on with it.

Before you start cleaning your steam convection oven, for example, make sure that you wear rubber cleaning gloves (never use disposable gloves) and safety glasses, because the chemicals you’re going to use are hazardous to your skin and eyes.

The next step is to take some paper towels or newspapers and lay them in front of the oven. Make sure that you cover a large area and that the paper towels or newspapers extend securely under the oven. This way, you will have something to absorb any excess cleaner that might make it out of the oven.

Now, spray the cleaner and let it sit for about 30 minutes before you wipe the bottom of the oven with a cloth. Just make sure that you spray the cleaner at a distance of 8-10 inches (20-25 cm) and don’t spray over the parts of the oven that produce the heat.

#3 – Cleaning the Natural Way

If you don’t have one of those ovens that have a self-cleaning cycle, and if you don’t like to use hazardous chemicals to clean your oven, then you need to learn how to clean your oven naturally. To clean your oven in the most natural way possible, you can use baking soda and vinegar, lemons, or salt.

Mix half a cup of baking soda with 3 tablespoons of water, mix it into a paste and spread it on the bottom of your oven. Let it sit for 12 hours, wipe away, spray some vinegar, and wipe one final time with a damp cloth. You can also use lemon to clean the bottom of your oven.

Preheat the oven to 250 °F (121 °C), and then place a bowl of water that has two sliced lemons in it and let it bake for an hour. After that, you can wipe away the bottom and have it clean.

There is one other way you can clean your oven naturally. Preheat the oven to 150°F (65.5 °C) then sprinkle some salt on the bottom of your oven. Get your oven mitts, a damp sponge or cloth, and start scrubbing the bottom.

This has been a simple guide on how to clean your oven. Now you know how to clean a self-cleaning oven, how to clean an oven naturally, and how to clean it using chemical. Chose your cup of tea and go clean that oven which has been annoying you for quite a while.
