Our favorite part of the day is when we go home, close the windows, lock the door, and just feel completely safe and secure between the walls we chose to be our comfort zone.

But according to the American Institute for the Study of Skin Cancer, 50% of the harmful UVA rays of the sun can still penetrate the glass of the windows, so you are still not safe from them even when the windows are closed.

Basically, you need to wear your sunscreen and protect your face from wrinkles and age spots even at home.

There is no better feeling like falling asleep and squashing our faces against our soft pillows, but at the same time, we would be causing pillow wrinkles. Year after another, the wrinkles would become permanent and they will be located in many different places on the face.

The reason is mature skin is a lot different than young skin; the latter can recover easily every morning from all the pressures and changes, while mature skin succumbs to them.

To avoid this issue, you should try to sleep on your back for as many times as possible, or you can change your pillowcases to satin, which can be a lot more delicate to our skin.

Messiness

After a long day, we would want nothing more than throwing ourselves on the couch and relax. Who cares about the dusty shelves or the dishes in the sink anyway?

Well, many people do, and this is why they start suffering from considerable mental stress that may lead to more serious issues we can’t handle. The bigger issue here is the fact that mental stress is one of the main factors to accelerate the aging process.

We understand your exhaustion, and we also understand your need to clean the house. This is why you need to create a balance between the two in order to decrease your anxieties. Otherwise, you need to learn how to take it easy and wait till after you relax to clean the house.

Bad smells

During the winter, we tend to keep most of our windows closed due to the cold (obviously!), which is why we may encounter unpleasant odors. The bacteria start breeding in damp and wet places, like the dirty laundry basket, causing a few bad smells that no one would enjoy.

Not only that would be bad for our health, but it will also affect our mood negatively, and just like the mess, it will definitely accelerate the aging process.

Fortunately, it is easy to get rid of bad smells quickly; you can purchase an air purifier or create your own natural one for better results!

Temperature and humidity at home

Your skin is bound to age quickly if it is constantly dry and moisture-free. In addition to that, all the natural moisture of the skin would disappear when there is low humidity in the air, and you know where that is going to lead.

During the cold season, we all make the mistake of sealing the entire house while turning on the heating devices for a better temperature, but what we mostly do is drying the air surrounding us.
