Greek Yogurt

Before sending your kids to school, prepare for them a small sandwich with cheese and a tiny chobani cherry yogurt or fage yogurt. This is a quite energetic meal that your kid can have during lunch break.

Speaking of healthy foods, Greek yogurt is healthy for it is rich in iodine, probiotics, and protein. You can fix a fruit salad with some Greek yogurt instead of stuffing your stomach with greasy foods at dinner.

Once it is expired, it will be such an excellent facial mask. Greek yogurt contains lactic acid which removes the dead skin cells to enjoy a brighter skin.

You can prepare the mask by mixing 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt plus 1 tablespoon of honey. The mixture is supposed to be applied and left to sit for 15 min on your face, then rinse it with warm water.

Ground Coffee

Sometimes, we tend to underestimate the effectiveness of things we consider leftovers. Take ground coffee for instance. It is mostly discarded and thrown away. This is because lacking the knowledge which would enable you to benefit from ground coffee.

Your Italian ground coffee can be placed in your refrigerator to remove the stinky odors or in your garden to fertilize the soil. Your body can also benefit from light roast ground coffee by using the latter as a face scrub.

Your skin will be toned and nourished thanks to the packs of antioxidants in coffee grounds. Take a bowl, mix some milk with coffee ground and rub the paste on your face for 1 minute. It should be left to sit for another 20 minutes.

Remember the old days in the scout camps when you probably had to sell milk cookies to collect donations? You probably were craving for one or two pieces, but never tried a piece. They were days full of fun and joy that you can appreciate only now.

Anyhow, the milk used in baking those cookies or the one labeled as ‘Starbucks almond milk’ has an expiration date. It will start to sour, but it is still usable in baking? Yes!

If you are to prepare morning pancakes, birthday party cakes or Christmas ginger biscuits, add the soured milk for an extra flavor. It is an alternative of buttermilk used in many baked goods.
