A responsibility that we have all been trying to do and follow is to save money in order to have something to depend on when the hardest days are upon us, especially if we are only living from one paycheck to another.
The easiest way to save money is to cut down the expenses that you don’t really need and the ones that you can actually get for free.
A lot of people don’t know this but there are many free alternatives to many services that we have to pay a lot of cash on, like your university… Yes, can you imagine graduating for free? No student loans anymore?
It is the dream, it is completely real, and there are still many of them that we have collected and listed for you in this article to help to make your savings account happier and your future brighter.
College classes
Going to college means paying hundreds and thousands of dollars in order to get educated and earn a diplomat that will help you find a job in the field you are most interested in. But let’s face it, not everyone is capable to afford that amount of money, and they either end up dropping out or dealing with loans for years!
So to avoid that, you can actually take college classes from big universities online. It is all legal and legit. For example, Coursera offers thousands of college-level classes about everything, literally. You can pick your own time to study, and once you are ready, pass the exam and get your diplomat.
If you don’t want to study in the traditional way, you can go to YouTube. You will not be disappointed because there are hundreds of educational channels that offer you the knowledge you are thirsty for. All of these options will save you money and time!
Use a bank without checking account fees
Saving your earnings in a bank means paying them for their service as well, and it is something avoidable.
In case you are putting your money in a checking account with large international banks, then you are probably paying a fair amount of money for it. However, this fee could be disregarded if you kept a certain balance.
Also, there are many credit unions and banks that provide free checking accounts to their customers without requiring or asking for any minimum balance, which is the greatest solution. Don’t rush into opening a checking account until you have done your homework!
Get books for free
In the U.S.A., you can get a library card for $5 only, and sometimes, you can get it for free. If you have this card, then you have unlimited access to hundreds of books, news publications, and magazines in your local public library.
You don’t have to go and buy books anymore because the good ones could be expensive. As long as you have a proof of residency and a local library around your home, then you are allowed to read any book your mind can think of.
Get free furniture
After we move into a new house, we find it almost impossible to afford any new furniture. But till we do, we can have free ones only by using your media accounts. You can check the Marketplace page on your neighborhood to encounter many families who are giving their furniture away for free.
Craigslist also has a section where you can find free stuff, but the marketplace can provide you with posts from your location to ease the process for you.
However, make sure to be careful while using this online marketplace and don’t go alone if you are picking up furniture from a stranger’s house. Make sure someone you trust knows where you will be.
