To be fair, I don’t like coffee and I don’t know how to enjoy drinking it, but my partner is addicted to it as well as my older roommates, which is why I had enough practice with it. But recently, I came across a few articles about the many uses of the coffee ground, and I was so pleased that finally, I can take advantage of that beverage, too.

Statistically, the average American drinks about 3 coffee cups every day, so imagine the amount of used coffee grounds is being tossed to the trash.

The first thing to do is drying the grounds out on a cookie sheet, place them inside a bowl and then put it in the freezer or refrigerator to neutralize smells. You can also drop it in your trash disposal in order to keep it smelling better and fresher.

If you have a garden, then you have to take advantage of the coffee grounds because they are highly acidic. Simply, spread them on the flower beds generously in order to watch them bloom beautifully.

Also, the coffee ground is loaded with potassium, magnesium, phosphorous, and copper. So when they degrade, they release nitrogen that helps to make a rich compost.
