Lip balm has become a very important part of our lives, especially during winter. It seriously saves our lips from some serious dryness and dehydration. Personally, I wouldn’t go anywhere without my lip balm because the “dry lips” emergency could happen at any time, and living with unmoisturized lips can actually be pretty annoying.
Surprisingly, I have discovered that lip balm can’t help with my lips only, but it turned out to have many advantages that could really help us. I felt like I found a treasure of tiny secrets that will make my life much easier.
So if you don’t have any other reason than your lips to carry a lip balm with you everywhere, then I present you 10 annoying things that can be solved with it. From now on, you will be having your own emergency lip balm stash!
Dry and irritated nose
During the flu season, we may get stuck in blowing and wiping our noses due to the sickness, or even the allergies. Too much of that can cause irritation and dryness in the nose area, which can be really painful.
To avoid this, you can use your “magical” lip balm by putting a tiny bit in your finger, then apply it there. You will feel relieved instantly with a long, lasting moisturizing effect.
Cracked Cuticles
Having cracked cuticles can actually become painful hangnails, and it is a worldwide fact that it is super annoying. So once you find a forming cuticle crack, swipe a little lip balm on it. It is basically the easiest and fastest way to moisturize that area, especially if you don’t have a hand lotion close by.
Hair color
If you want to color your hair at home, then that would be an amazing way to save money and have fun, too. But it will be pretty messy, of course! So to avoid any hair dye stains on your hairline, then apply lip balm. One layer of it all around your hairline is enough to protect it and to create a barrier between your skin and the dye.
Nicks from shaving
While shaving, it is somehow necessary to have a few minor cuts and nicks, and oh boy! They bleed way too much, they scare us. To stop bleeding, you can apply a small amount of lip balm on the cut, and voila, problem solved!
