5. Give hair spray a chance

Yes, you read that right, we said hair spray! While nail polish remover is more effective on fresh stains, hair spray is your best shot for stains that have already dried. Use a bit of cold water to moisten the affected area, and then spray 10 to 15 pumps of your hairspray on top of it. To finish it up, add about three splashes of rubbing alcohol. Use a brush to scrub the stain, and consistently splash more cold water as you go until the stain is completely removed.
